Integrated Health System Strengthening (IHSS) Investment

Amref Health Africa (Amref) recently started implementing the Integrated Health System Strengthening (IHSS) investment through funding from Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF).
MERQ conducted a deep-dive assessment of the Primary Healthcare (PHC) System at the Woreda-level with the aim of informing the design and adaptation of the investment. It explored the state of PHC in the investment’s target districts.
The assessment adapts WHO’s PHC assessment framework to a sub-national level health system setting for use. It also creates a dashboard that can help to visualize and subsequently monitor the state of health system at the districts.
