Understanding Outcomes of Improved Primary Healthcare Service Delivery Investment

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) supported the optimization the Ethiopian Primary Healthcare system through its funding to JSI and Amref Health Africa. The investment intends to improve the efficacy of and linkage between PHC service delivery platforms.
MERQ received an independent learning grant from BMGF to act as a learning partner of the investment with a focus on supporting adaptive planning and effectiveness of the technical assistance on improving PHC outcomes.
MERQ is generating evidence from target districts across all regions (agrarian and pastoral). Mainly, MERQ undertakes implementation research on PHC strategies designed based on the new health extension program roadmap.
