Tsega is currently working at MERQ-Rwanda as the Managing Director where she oversees and manages various organizational activities. Prior to that she had been working as Health Economics and Policy Advisor at MERQ Consultancy, MERL coordinator of the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Gondar (April/2019- August/2021); Assistant Professor of Economic Policy Analysis at University of Gondar. Tsega has served in many governmental and non-governmental organizations and is the founder of the University of Gondar Female Academicians Association. She has received several awards and recoginitions including Best academic staff award (University of Gondar) and Research Grant award (Mastercard foundation).
